DEVELOPMENT ASSISTANT TO THE HEAD OF SCHOOL
ST. STEPHEN'S EPISCOPAL DAY SCHOOL
The Development Assistant to the Head of School at St. Stephen's Episcopal Day School plays a crucial role in supporting the Head of School and advancing the mission of our esteemed institution. With a primary focus on achieving fundraising goals and nurturing relationships with our constituents, the Development Assistant is an integral member of the Senior Staff Team, contributing significantly to the school's administration.
In collaboration with the Head of School, the Development Assistant will actively pursue specific budgetary goals aligned with St. Stephen's Episcopal Day School's Strategic Plan. This involves the creation of a comprehensive development calendar, emphasizing cultivation, stewardship, solicitation, and fundraising for annual and capital initiatives outlined by the Board of Trustees and School Leadership.
The Development Assistant will confidently address the public and train parents on volunteer fundraising opportunities, demonstrating a deep belief in the school's mission and strategic plan. Collaboration with various teams, including marketing, business, admissions, and the School & Home Association, is essential for the success of this candidate. Moreover, the Development Assistant ensures full financial transparency.
Recognizing that St. Stephen's excellence is rooted in its strong sense of community, the Development Assistant serves as a representative within the school and beyond. Emotional intelligence is a crucial attribute, along with the ability to build meaningful relationships that motivate board members, colleagues, parents, alums, and other constituents involved in cultivating and stewarding the school's community. Importantly, this person manages relationships with the utmost confidentiality, ensuring a high level of trust and integrity.
The Development Assistant will also focus on maintaining a donor database and an event fundraising platform, requiring a tech-savvy approach. The ultimate goal of this position is to maximize the potential of giving from our constituents, contributing to the sustained success and growth of St. Stephen's Episcopal Day School.
