A senior trial attorney at a well-regarded  civil litigation firm has recently assumed a managing partner–level caseload and is seeking a highly capable right hand to support complex, active matters. This attorney needs someone who can step into live files immediately, manage deadlines autonomously, and keep cases progressing without constant oversight.

This is a full-time, remote position. The firm operates at a high volume and values efficiency, accountability, and proactive communication. While the work is demanding, the environment is collaborative, and you will be trusted to manage your responsibilities independently. The practice handles sophisticated civil litigation matters, including personal injury, construction defect, and brain injury defense —this is hands-on litigation support with real responsibility and real impact.

What You’ll Be Trusted With:

• Drafting, formatting, and managing pleadings, discovery, and pre-trial filings
• Summarizing depositions, medical records, and case materials
• Managing case calendars, hearings, and trial deadlines across multiple matters
• Coordinating with court personnel, clients, experts, and opposing counsel
• Filing documents in state and federal courts (primarily electronic)
• Proactively tracking deadlines and keeping the attorney organized and ahead of schedule
  

What You Bring:

• Strong civil litigation experience (insurance defense experience is a plus)
• Solid working knowledge of the California Code of Civil Procedure and local rules
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple active cases in a remote environment
• No paralegal certificate required—practical experience is what matters
• Excellent written communication, organization, and time-management skills
  

Compensation & Benefits:

• Salary range: $80,000–$100,000, depending on experience
